Tenosynovitis

Print
Tenosynovitis means inflammation of the sheath that surrounds the synovium (the tendon). The wrist is the most frequently affected joint. The condition is inflammatory and is characterised by a sharp or pulling pain, tenderness, swelling and a painful grating sensation in the joint (i.e. the wrist).

Tenosynovitis is not only painful, but also very limiting. The pain restricts the movements and the functionality of the joint, making normal daily activities difficult. Elimination of pain becomes an urgent priority.

Laser phototherapy is very effective in the treatment of tenosynovitis. Regenerative effects of the high energy laser light are apparent in a short time. Inflammation and swelling reduce fast. The pain subsides and the healing begins.

Laser phototherapy offers an affective and viable treatment alternative for patients aiming to reduce the intake of pain killers due to their potential side effects.

The therapists and the patients witness and experience the effectiveness of laser phototherapy with LaserCat and PalmLaser®, the new generation phototherapy devices from MedSolution.

Treatment of tenosynovitis with the LaserCat and/or the PalmLaser® offers the following benefits:

  • Fast pain relief, often seen after only just two treatment sessions
  • Significant reduction in the number of anti-inflammatory injections required and/or pain killers intake
  • Reduced inflammation and swelling and acceleration of healing
  • Improved joint functionality and mobility, hence, better quality of life
  • Potential prevention of long term damage to the affected joint

The effectiveness of laser therapy is proven in documented and/or published clinical studies.
